A1: Constructive participation in class
Attendance and general constructive participation in class, ability to draw connections between preparatory readings for the class and in-class discussion.
The content of preparatory readings is NOT taught again in class. Instead, the preparatory readings were carefully chosen to complement the contents taught in class and provide you with a terminological and conceptual basis to engage in constructive, well-informed discussion and problem-solving exercises. Additional reading of your free choice is highly encouraged and valued, especially if you have difficulties with understanding an central concept or term, or if you are surprised or provoked by any particular idea, data or recommendation. You are expected to prepare questions & discussion points based on your preparatory reading for the respective class.
Final marks for A1 are based on the quality and frequency of constructive interventions in theoretical and practical classes throughout the term.
